The generation that planned for everything except this

People who budgeted for college and retirement never budgeted for a parent’s care. Nearly 1 in 3 caregivers are also raising children under 18, rising to 47% among caregivers under 50.
ㅤ

America’s largest medical workforce was never trained

55% of family caregivers routinely perform medical or nursing tasks. Only about 22% ever received training for them. The health system quietly depends on people it never taught.
ㅤ

Everyone plans to age at home. Nobody built the infrastructure

Three in four older adults intend to stay in their own homes, but the support that makes it possible has not been funded or organized to match.
ㅤ

A hospital can pull up a chart in seconds, but not a power of attorney

The documents, the money and the decisions all sit outside the medical record, and families discover that on the worst day of the year. The five-year Medicaid look-back punishes anyone who starts late.
ㅤ

Why is aging something we dread instead of design?

We plan weddings, careers and college with joy, and treat the last third of life as paperwork to avoid. A national trial of 2,111 older adults suggests how much of aging well is actually within reach.

Built in Indiana, aimed at a national problem

A founding couple, an Indianapolis development partner and a nationwide launch in August. A business story as much as a health one.

About CAEVO

Short

CAEVO (pronounced kay-vo, short for “Care, Evolved.”) is an AI-guided platform for rest-of-life planning and family caregiving. It pairs Aging Well Mode, for adults who want to stay healthy and independent, with Caregiver Mode, for the families supporting them. CAEVO was founded by Jon and Lauren Howard and is based in Noblesville, Indiana.

Extended

CAEVO (pronounced kay-vo, short for “Care, Evolved.”) is an AI-guided platform for rest-of-life planning and family caregiving. It is built as two connected experiences: Aging Well Mode helps older adults track wellness habits, access nutrition and health guidance, organize legal and medical documents, and plan for Medicare and long-term care; Caregiver Mode gives family caregivers medication and wellness tracking, checklists, financial planning tools, document storage and educational resources. A consent-first Family Loop lets elders share health information, documents and emergency contacts with family on their own terms, and an AI assistant called EVO answers questions and points to the next step. CAEVO was founded by Jon and Lauren Howard and is based in Noblesville, Indiana.

The Caregiver Hub

For the families supporting them — medication and wellness tracking, caregiving checklists, financial planning tools, document and contact storage, and educational resources.

The Aging Well Hub

For adults who want to maintain their health and independence. Wellness tracking, nutrition and brain health guidance, document organization, and Medicare and long-term care planning.

The Family Loop

A consent-first layer that lets elders share health information, documents and emergency contacts with family — only as much as everyone agrees to.

Style

CAEVO and EVO are set in capitals. “Aging Well Mode,” “Caregiver Mode,” “the Family Loop” and “the Aging Well Score” take initial capitals.

The tagline is EVOLVING HOW YOU NAVIGATE CAREGIVING & AGING.

The Minds behind CAEVO

Lauren Howard

Co-Founder

Lauren spent fifteen years in technology, including roles at LinkedIn, Salesforce and Thomson Reuters. Originally from West Des Moines, Iowa, she teaches families how to use AI on Instagram at @caevo.ai.

“What I care about most with this technology is making sure these advancements are used for good — solving the everyday challenges American families face.”

Jon Howard

Co-Founder & CEO

Jon spent his career in logistics, including positions at Pepsi Co., U.S. Foods and Johnson Brothers — making complicated systems work better for real people. He has described CAEVO as the tool he wishes his parents had while they were caring for his grandparents.

“It’s hard for us naturally to want to think about our final chapters. But the way we’re going to be successful in navigating this longevity is by planning and preparing.”

What families are saying — on both sides of care

To start, yes. Essentials is free, always, for one person. It includes both libraries and the everyday tools on each side, with no credit card required.

Yes. It’s encrypted with bank-level, 256-bit security and stored on US infrastructure, and the person aging controls what’s shared. See how we protect your data

No, you see what they choose to share. That’s on purpose. It keeps CAEVO from feeling like it’s watching anyone.

It shows you the programs in your state and county, like waivers, transportation, meals, respite, and legal aid, across all 50 states and DC.

If your organization covers it, you don’t need a paid plan. Check with them, or contact us to confirm before you sign up for anything.
