We built this for our own families. Every family can use it.
Caregiving does not knock first. It just arrives. When it arrived for our families, we wanted to make the road easier for the next one.
Caring for aging parents
We are Lauren and Jon Howard. We are married, we live in Noblesville, Indiana, and we started CAEVO because of the people we love.
Between us, we spent fifteen years in technology and fifteen in logistics. Both taught us the same lesson: when a system was not built around the person using it, you can build one that is.
Then we watched our parents step into caregiving. The programs were there and the benefits were there, but they were hard to find and hard to follow.
State resources sat ten clicks deep. The one piece of guidance that would have changed a decision showed up after the decision was made.
Why we built CAEVO
We’re both only children. However far off it feels, we already know who the call comes to, and we already know we’ll be taking it from hundreds of miles away. We saw the gap clearly: everyone wanted to help, and nothing helped them know how.
Around the same time, those same parents began asking a different question. Not how to prepare for the end, but how and where they wanted to spend the rest of their lives. That question matters as much as ours does, and we wanted one place built for both.
For the whole family
So we built what we wish our families had, and the one we want for ourselves. That’s why CAEVO is two hubs with a consent layer between them, built because the aging adult needed a place that respected their independence, and the family needed real visibility, and neither of those things should have had to come at the other’s expense.
Who we are
CAEVO is based in Noblesville, Indiana, built and led by Lauren and Jon Howard. We watched our families care for the people they love, and that is who we think of every day we work on this.
“What I care about most with this technology is making sure these advancements are used for good, solving the everyday challenges Americans face.”
— Lauren Howard, Co-founder
What families are saying — on both sides of care
“A few months ago, there was a change in my father in law’s wife’s health. All the questions showed up. We started realizing how much of this process and what was to come was an unknown to us. It was scary and confusing to say the least. We heard about CAEVO and realized after a little investigation that it was the resource we needed. Memory loss and early dementia was in the future. CAEVO gave our family a guide and the resources we needed. Forever grateful for this resource and the team who made it happen. “
Kieth P., CAEVO User
“Great product and a huge stress relief. My parents are both approaching 80 and I’m fairly unorganized as it is. CAEVO has helped keep tabs and important info on my parents at my fingertips without stressing or sacrificing time with my kids.”
Nick F., CAEVO User
“I’m also a user, and here’s my honest take.
I used CAEVO to help plan care for my dad. My sister and I are his co-conservators, and keeping track of everything was a mess.
If you’re caring for a parent or planning for your own later years, it’s worth downloading.”
